Una Famiglia, Due Tenute
After the Easter weekend, when Villa Le Corti was open to the public for the exhibit “Signatures of Sovereigns of the Corsini Archive signees de Notre Main,” the excellent turn-out led us to extend the exhibit until Saturday, April 16!
The exhibition will therefore be open for visits, by booking only, from Monday to Saturday, 10 am- 4 pm (not until 5 pm, like it was on Easter weekend.)
As Clotilde Corsini explains, the exhibit “Signatures of Sovereigns of the Corsini Archive” is a “first taste” of the endless amount of correspondence that the noble Florentine family maintained with kings and sovereigns between 1700 and 1900. It is a “compendium” of letters, missives, and certificates exchanged with people from Charles VI of Habsburg to Mussolini, from Napoleon to Vittorio Emanuele III. The letters reveal how intertwined the Corsini family was with some of the most important people of the last three centuries.
Visitors to the exhibit will also have the chance to visit the splendid Villa Le Corti, the heart of the Corsini properties located in the territory of Chianti Classico.
Don’t forget that within the estate Villa Le Corti, guests may stay in the recently restored accommodations. The two structures are the splendid GUGLIAIE (click here for more info and booking) and SPERONE (click here for more info and booking). Two jewels of rural Tuscan architecture, equipped with every modern comfort and located just a few kilometers from Florence.
Guests may also wish to stop by Villa Le Corti for a gourmet moment. Our restaurant “Osteria Le Corti ” is distinguished for its traditional Tuscan cuisine reinterpreted with creativity, using organic products paired with a selection of the best wines of Principe Corsini, which are also certified organic beginning with the 2015 vintage.
