Una Famiglia, Due Tenute

April 25 at Tenuta Le Corti

Villa Le Corti will not be closing over the holiday weekend of April 25, but will open its doors to visitors and wine tourists

From Saturday 23 to Monday 25, April, visitors may come to visit the wineries and garden of Villa Le Corti (by booking only), the property of the noble Corsini family since the 15th century.

Villa Le Corti is the historic seat of the Principe Corsini winery, producing the great wines of Tuscany. The Estate’s property is over 250 hectares, of which 49 hectares are vineyards, where they plant Sangiovese for the production of Chianti Classic and IGT Toscana wines  (Don TommasoCortevecchiaLe Corti, and Zac). Alongside the vines, olives are planted as they have always been in Tuscan tradition, producing extra virgin olive oil,  Chianti Classico DOP.

Of notable beauty and importance is the history of the wine cellars: constructed in the 1600s, it is organized into three subterranean levels. They wind through a system of rooms and corridors underneath a stunning Italian garden aboveground. Both the winery and Italian garden will be open to visitors from April 23-25.

Inside the Tenuta di Villa Le Corti, guests may choose to spend more than just a day by staying in the two recently restructured accommodations: the splendid GUGLIAIE (click here for info and booking) and SPERONE (click here for info and booking). Two jewels of rural Tuscan architecture, equipped with every modern comfort and located just a few kilometers from Florence.

The restaurant “Osteria Le Corti” is located inside the Tenuta. It will be open for lunch. The arrival of spring has brought with it a new menu, with all the flavors of the new season. Here’s a preview:
